No. 34 In Atlanta

NO. 34 IN ATLANTA

Well my record's not doing too good in Boston. * And nobody's heard it way down in Texas but I'm proud of it just the same. Hey I ain't playin' no physcadelic music. I'm liking it more everyday. And I'd rather be number 34 in Atlanta than to be number 1 in LA.

I'd rather pick my getchin' five string banjo than to beat my * tamberine. I'd rather walk around with a girl from my hometown than to chase some big movie queen. Rock N Roll music is a temptin' my soul and it's telling me there's no other way. And I'd rather be number 34 in Atlanta than to be number 1 in LA.

Give me that ol' time gospel music, and you'll be hearing my song. Mr. Scruggs won't you teach me the five string banjo before the electric, organ comes along. Well bless my soul, music's got me going. But country music's leading the way. And I'd rather be number 34 in Atlanta than to be number 1 in LA.

Yeah I'd rather be number 34 in Atlanta than to be number 1 in LA.
