Mr. Corbitt shortly after the War moved to Florida where he had acquired a farm in Suwannee County. He live there a few years, then moved back to his farm in Ware County near Manor. (Here Judge Folks Huxford mentions that he met a tragic death, but I have not been able to find out how he died.)
Daniel Corbitt, grandfather of James, was a Revolutionary Soldier in SC and served in the SC Militia. He lived and died in Barnwell District, SC. His son John after marriage there moved to GA and became one of the early settlers of Ware County.
James served in the State Militia in the War. He is buried at Booth Cemetery in Manor.
The above information is from Huxford's Pioneers of Wiregrass Georgia, Vol. One and my personal papers. If you find errors or have additions, please contact me. I am interested in where these ancestors are buried.
