Most often I wind up starting with the Navarro Brothers, Lillith Vanderkamp, and the Dance Hall girl. The way that this deck can gain Ghost Rock is amasing! I was playing against Sweetrock the other day and I had 2x the gold they did which is odd, but oh well. The deck is a blast to play, and I hope you think so too.

I added Run Outta Town and Forclose as a way of getting rid of annoying people and deeds, especially when cheating hands are revealed during lowball. So there's a way to get rid of the Mannor. I also removed a couple of double dealings because I was discovering that all to often I would give the person a better hand than I had. Also, the noon job Ambush was removed because I was using to go after those guys who would hole up in their hideout but with the new ruling of "if your dudes can't go to the location, they can't perform a job there." There's nothing on Ambush that allows you to go to a person's hideout, so it was essentially worthless to me. I don't play with Sweaty Dynamite because I tend to use too many clubs in my decks.

I find that this deck works pretty well so far.Unfortunatly, in recreating it, I had to take out some of the 5's and 9's I was using. The original deck had 14 fives and 10 nines. This helped get a lot of 4 of a kinds, 5 of a kinds and full houses. This current deck has 11 fives and 8 nines. It also has 8 sixes now, giving me 3 sets of numbers to draw on. I have to admit, it was pretty neat when Father Juan went up against Corky (with a pearl handled revolver) who had successfully done her pull and all she got was 3 of a kind and I got a non-cheating full house.

Type: Fun

Here's my Black Jacks deck. Keep in mind I have a deck made at all times for every faction so some of my key rares might be in other decks. Also, some of the early outfit decks were made before incorporating other expansions. For example, I haven't changed this Black Jacks deck yet as you'll see because it concentrates some on making money which USED to be a Black Jacks problem. Still, I still like to play this one as is:

Dudes

3S Father Juan Navarro

9S Spike Dougan

QS Rachel Sumner

AS Victor Navarro

2S Cassidy Greene (lots of saloons in this deck)

2S Lawrence Goodman (for the bombs and jobs and

junk)

4S Cletus Peacock

4S Arizona Jane (see, she's joining the 'Jacks!, for

calling out)

5S Sam Horowitz (It done blowed up real good,

Jackie)

5S Lilith Vandekamp (for money, influence)

10S Sheila Mirabella (dig for the bombs, makes

money)

JS Vampiric Dance Hall Girl

KS Black Jack (da man)

Deeds

2D Red Hill Hotel (CP, makes money, reduces

upkeep)

4D LAD Saloon (CP, call me out there)

4D Graveyard (For CP and both abilities)

4D Sunnyside Hotel (CP money maker)

5D Barkum & Barkum Attorneys (CP, unwant my

dudes)

6D Golden Mare Saloon (CP money maker)

7D Old Moon Saloon (CP, moeny against cheatin

decks, I assume Old Moon

Saloon is also affected by the rulin' on cheating cards

and Ace in The

Hole?)

7D St. Martin's Chapel (CP Money)

8D Slaughterhouse (And Stay dead... :))

10D Hideout (OK, just because I thought BlackJacks

HAD to have a Hideout!)

JD Photographer (for the money)

QD The Tree (so the Jacks can get to any job we pull

in town)

KD Tombstone Dispatch Branch Office (influence,

and combo with Attorneys

to make money, just like real life. :))

Actions

AC Pannin' for Gold (probably ditch this now for a lot of

things)

2C Sun in Yer Eyes (can't beat the good ol' basics

sometimes)

4C Jailbreak (You can bust up ANY deed, not just the

Jail! :))

4C Giddyup! (to get to jobs without booting)

5C Ambush (where ya hidin', ya yella varmint?)

6C Don't Like Your Looks (Jacks can pull this one off

usually mano a mano)

6C Fanning the Hammer

7C Snakebite (it used to be THE cheatin' card along

with Foreclosure)

10C Get A Rope (same as don't like your looks)

QC Claim Jumper (I wanted money)

QC Yer All Chicken! (Black Jack facing down in Town

Square, someone should

make a story out of that.... oh wait, never mind... :))

QC Raid (Let's go visit Findley and Sweetrock!)

KC Rooftop Sniper (combo with the Tree for instance)

Events

3H Eureka! (I expect to win shootouts)

4H Founder's Day (needed the money then, probably

replace now)

QH A Coach Comes to Town (this here stage is under

the protection of the

'Jacks, for a small handling fee, we can get your

goods for ya)

Goods

AH Kenny

3H New Hat

5H Gattling Gun x 2 (set up shop in a nice high CP

deed)

5H Shotgun

9H Pearl Handled Revolver x 2

KH Bomb x 3 (blow up your CP deeds)

Joker x 2

Notes:  I'm relying on the Jacks fighting ability to go where they want, blow up what they want and get out enough of their own CP deeds or take over yours to win. I'd probably tune this one of these days to get rid of some of the cards I mentioned above to make room for things to get around in Heavy Rains or to counter those influence lowering spells.

There's 50 cards(including the jokers) and I know there are 4 more cards that go in there but that's all I can remember :P  Anyway, the entire deck is on theme except the Sabre :P  It's lots of fun to play(always gets into shootouts) but not much fun to play against(always wins shootouts :P).  Anyway, next up is my Rangers deck.   Comments are welcome(other than add Massacres, I used to not have any until I just recently traded for one :P).

If your opponent uses decent fire fighters Pistol Whip them all the way home and Claim Jump any strikes that he may be using.

The deeds in this deck are there almost solely for efficient CP production and shouldn't be played unless you are sure of the win, the two exceptions to this are the Graveyard as hopefullly BJ will keep this well stocked and the 2 Den of Eastern Delights as Events can realy shaft this deck. The Ghost Rock is suppplied by Reserves, Founders Day and Coaches the BJ ability and all Blackjacks with the exception of Rachel and Father Juan should use this ability, although leave Victor till last in case BJ gets into trouble

Over all this deck is fun to play and the look of your opponent when you start with BJ on the table makes it all worth while

Notes:  This is my current Blackjacks deck.  It is not optimal - I can already see changes that I would like to make but it has been running riot in our multi-player games recently.  It generates large amounts of rock from the many Blackjack dudes and other dudes can be Deputized to make even more. It is very powerful in shootouts - most of the deck is either a 2 or 5 value. Its draws aren't always Cheatin' - there is a good spread of suits.  Even if the opposition does ding you with a Cheatin' card, you can shrug most of them off - only Yellow Traitor will really hurt.

Throw Down (I forget the exact name) would be useful in here as well, and there should be another way to fit a fourth Ambush as well.  Ah well, just goin' to have to wait 'til next time.
