"Let the Son-Shine In" Puppet Ministry

Puppeteers

History--- Excitement, togetherness, and willingness are valid characteristics of the "Let the Son-Shine In" Puppet Ministry at Arbor Baptist Church in Fitzgerald, GA. The puppet ministry began in 1990 with several determined individuals. These individuals, Kathaleen Fish, Wilene Brayand and Maggie Campbell, were willing to devote time, effort, and patience to a needed ministry. This God-loving team performed wherever their limited resources allowed them. Between 1990 and 1992, they performed for Vacation Bible School, children's church, and preschool classes. The ministry's name resulted from a song which had been brought to the heart of one of the puppeteers by Pebbles Flintstone. "Let the Son-Shine im, face it with a grin, smilers never lose, and frowners never win. So let the Son-Shine in, face it with a grin, open up your heart and let the Son-Shine in." This song became the theme song of the puppet team, and still remains that way. In 1995, dreams had come true and prayers had been answered when the youth became a part of this ministry. They had a pastor and a music director who believed in them. In His time, God had answered, and when He did, He blessed abundantly. Thank you Lord for your many blessings! Today--- The "new" team has been together for about two and a half years with members filtering in and out. The names listed above are the names of the current team members. We regularly attend puppetry conferences where we learn from other teams that have had more experience. We do around three programs a year for our church fellowship and pray that the Lord will bless us in all things we do. We soon hope to have a newsletter coming out. It will have events that we will be involved in and should come out once every quarter. If you would like to recieve one of these and/or be on our mailing list, please e-mail us at the address below and we will be eager to get one of those to you. We thank all of the team members from past or present for serving God in this way. But above all, we thank God for his eternal help in our ministry. For without him putting strength in our arms, as well as in our hearts, we wouldn't be able to serve him in this way. God has truly blessed us in this ministry in years passed, and we trust that he will bless in the years to come. ***Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord! Psalm 134:2
