(if you don't have a nose full of toner then get the hell out) SF-7300/7350/7320/7370 Service Codes
- 7300/50 clear-pause-zero-pause-(number)-print is the key sequence for codes* For the 7320/7370 clear, zero, zero, clear,(number) print button
- 01 mirror base forward and reverse test.(test clutch as well as rail sensors, misfeed indicator=MHPS,toner light=Mirror overun
- 02 you can move mirror base manually(why the hell you'd want to?) and check same sensors as above
- 03 paper sensor checks-waste toner led on=paper exit sensor actuated, misfeed led on=paper pass sensor actuated, toner sensor on=Paper seperation detector actuated, developer light on=manual paper feed entry detector actuatedokay on the 7320/70 &it's different-waste toner led on=paper pass detector actuated, toner led on=manual feed entry detect
- 04-checks on?off of full toner sensor(waste toner indicator) and cassette detector(misfeed indicator)
- 05-All leds and display lamps on
- 06-heater lamp flashes
- 07 copy lamp on
- 08-Dev bias on for 30 secs
- 09-Main High Voltage on 30 secs now on 7320/70 main, transfer, and grid come on
- 10-transfer high voltage on 30 secs(7300/50 only
- 12-blank and discharge lamp on for 30 secs (note: you still should check blanking lamps continuity independently)
- 13-resets u-1
- 14-resets all other status codes (if problem has been corrected)
- 16-checks maint counter preset (30k)
- 18-checks total count(hold zero key for same info)
- 19-copies since last pm
- 20-reset maint counter
- 21-checks warm up time
- 22 aging test(diables misfeed detect) 7320/70 only
- 23 aging without using paper(for cheap ass customer I guess)7320/70 only
- 24-omits warm up (don't make copies or your heat roolers(damn I thought it used rollers like the rest) will get very dirty-blank copies ok)
- 25- turns developer (to adjust toner level turn pot on front of dev. unit until toner sensor flashes while in this code with motor turning on 7300/50) For 7320-70 the code is clear, zero, zero, clear, 2,5,Cassette,print switch(even the manual doesn't tell you to hit Cassette key, but if you don't yer a wastin your time) and toner level will be set automatically
- 26-checks lens movement-Only on 7370 and 7350 You know why? The other ones don't have a moveable lense!
- 27-same as 26 except lense stops briefly at each ratio(it ain't going to do crap on a machine without RE
- 40-developer preset (30k)
- 41- number of copies since last dev. change
- 42-resets dev counter
- Code 44 7320& 7370 tone up tone down
coop, cassette, 44 print or is it coop 44 casset button print
then higher number less toner lower number more toner
Very handy works on 7900, 7800, and a few others. I didn't even know this one give credit (or blame, if your copier explodes) to Brother Yak...I still do it the old fashion way, by manually adding toner and recalibrating or skyshots and recalibrating
- 46 exposure adjustment- set a value for each mode in both extremes...damn I need to explain better.. 46 will come up in manual mode..hell lets see adjustments are done in each mode man/photo/AE do them in the order they are presented enter a number between 0 and 90 in setting 1 and 5 of each mode always enter 0 in AE mode setting 1....oh hell just remember that a higher number makes the damn copies lighter..Hope you are as confused as I am at this point7320/70 only so if you read all this trash for a 7300/50 you are probably pissed (just turn the VRs marked AE and MAN behind the little gray cover behind front door near top
- 47 adjust AE value..put blank sheets over glass and clear, zero,zero,pause,4,7,print,when ready light comes on hit print again (oh if it don't come on it could be busted (code 5 to check leds and display lamps) any way just wait a minute and hit print key
- 48-adjust horizontal mag ratio
- 50-lead edge adjustment
- 59-lead edge for mag ratios
- 72-presets for maint mini pm cycles-enter 1 for 10k cycle,2 for 20k, 3 for30k*(30 k is life of supplies),4 no maint counter-dev light comes on at 30k no matter which number entered.
- 79-model and local version 7350 in usa enter 07,7300- in usa enter 03..06 and 02 respectivly for ab series machines.
- 90-drum cleaning mode(how long motor runs after last copy) use paper select key--ready lamp on*-10secs,off-60 secs. (use 10)
- 97-bypass mode starts manually or automatically enter 0(auto),1(have to hit print key for manual feed)
- 98-Toner motor fequency(adds more toner per run the higher the number)0,1,2.
- okay thats that!! Now please remember that the codes for the 7320/70 are pretty much the same except that you enter clear, zero, zero, clear,(number, print.
- BY THE WAY GUYS MOST OF THESE CODES WILL WORK FOR MANY OTHER SHARP MACHINES EXCEPT THE KEY SEQUENCE MAY BE DIFFERENT!!! Clear, Repeat, Zero, Pause, (number), Print for many! 7100,750,755,756.
- Look for other models soon!! Untill then just ask me.
- OKAY HERE ARE THE STATUS CODES (*)beside it means it's for 7320/70 (&) beside it means it's for 7300/7350 I shouldn't have to say this, but knowing how you are (*&) means the damn code applies to both..Okay??..Okay!!?Jesus, the things I have to put up with for nuttin
- L-1 *&mirror movement failure (forward)
- L2 &Mirror base error
- L-3 *&mirror base return failure
- L-5 *&lense movement failure
- H-2 *&open thermistor (heater)
- H-3 *&irrregularly high temp.
- H-4 *&irregularly low temp(oh hell yeah you'll see this one-usually heatlamp is fried (look at it it may come on, but fried on the inside) check solder joints on boards on rear frame too
- U-1 *&low memory back-up battery (see reset code 13 above)
- U-2 *&ohh ohh sumcheck error!! (you must have made a mistake on bill) No it is actually a memory failure which requires a jumper to reset(i'll have to get that info for you later..It's the two pin thing on rear frame pwb I believe try it and see..if it blows up I could be wrong)
- U-3 *AE sensor trouble
- *EE toner concentration level error (what did you do wrong setting up the dev level?
- EU *toner concentration too high!(Damn can't you get anything right?)
- EL *toner level too low(try picking machine up over your head..just kidding)
- *&Your developer unit is not in machine STUPID!!(atleast the machine don't know it is)
- CH *&You have a blown optic thermal fuse MOST OTHER MODELS THIS ALSO MEANS YOU HAVE AN OPEN INTERLOCK...but not on this one!! all you get with this jewel is a totally balnk display with interock open..ain't that nice?
- PC *&this machine requires a personal counter
- *&You probably got no paper or it's not feeding out of the cassette.(cassette pawls bent?,pf clutches gummy?(hell it aint that damn hard to take out the feed unit so do it!-four screws in top of unit,Oh yeah and just because the feed rollers all have nice ridges don't mean they will feed-they get dry rotted(change em)
- P rat urinated in machine OR you ain't got the damn cassette in now!!
- P2 & Hey don't you know to plug stuff back in before you try to run a copy? Did you happen to see that little wire when you removed drum unit? PLUG IT BACK IN!! that's your discharge lamps
- JUST REMEMBER THIS PAGE REFLECTS REAL LIFE..it ain't perfect.
