This page is going to mostly be about the very popular Betta Splendens, or Siamese fighting fish. I also plan to start adding other popular aquarium fish, in the near future. Thank you for you patience as I work on my site.
My view on Bettas
Betta splendens are beautiful fish, that are great pets whether you want to breed them, or just enjoy them. They average two to two and a half inches in length, and can be found in almost any color one can imagine. The fish thrive in water between 76 to 82 degrees F. The females may be kept together, but a single male can only be in a tank by himself or in a seascape of other community fish. If two males are found together, they will fight until one of the two gives up. The male is much more colorful, and also has much longer fins. The breeding of bettas is even more spectacular than just the sight of them.
