We have had a good month. We are making progress on our demos. We are close to getting a good version of "She Likes It Like That" and "She Wouldn't Listen To Me". We are redoing a lot of guitar tracks right now because Rory finally buckled under the pressure and bought a VOX AC-15! It sounds wonderful and immediately put all the previously recorded guitar tracks to shame!
We've also been tinkering with the web site. We are trying to put samples of all the songs from "Inconceivable!!!" on the web site. So far, we've been having technical difficulties. If anybody has any hints, please let us know! Also, we would like to start putting samples of the demos out on the site too! We're looking forward to hearing everyone's reaction.
Rory's been listening to The Decibels. Troy's been listening to The Poppin' Wheelies and Steve Ward.

We're back! You may be asking "What have The Hippycrickets been up to since the release of the 'Inconceivable!!!' CD?" ...or you may ask yourself, "How did I get here?"
Well, let me give you a quick run down. After 9 months of promoting "Inconceivable!!!" in Atlanta and around the country, Rory decided to go back to college. While away at college, Rory could not concentrate on original material. In the meantime, Rory and I formed a band called The Now! that played obscure sixties tunes for fun.
Flash forward to now (yeah, I know, bad pun!). The Now! have called it quits. It was a great run, but all good things must come to an end. With that end, The Hippycrickets have a new beginning. Rory has graduated from college. We have 7 or 8 tunes written and we're considering releasing a CD-EP in the near future.
So, what are we doing now? We're starting to create demos of our songs in the basement. Then, we hope to recruit someone to play bass for us in the studio. Hopefully, we can release a new CD next year. In the meantime, we will try to post some demos on our site to get your feedback.
For our friends that have hung with us through this lean period, you are the coolest!
What are we listening to right now? Rory got The Zombies box set for his birthday. Lucky guy! Troy has listening to Beezewax, the Blake Babies, and Superdrag.
