We begin a spiritual journey when we are awakened by our Angels.
Imagine someone born and raised in a small, dark prison cell, and conditioned from earliest childhood to believe that this cubicle was all there is. She is content to live there, knowing nothing else. She amuses herself
the best she can by walking around, decorating the cell, and lying down on the cot, dreaming. Everything goes along smoothly, with the usual little ups and downs. Then one day she begins to feel a little empty, as if there were, perhaps, something missing which is very important. She invents theories and speculates in order to keep comfortable with what she has, but a growing sense of discontent begins to be felt in her life. From somewhere deep down, she senses the existence of pastures, mountains, oceans, and blue sky. This feeling, perhaps vague at first, is the initial and most important step in ultimately being out of the prison.
The prison cell is our limited viewpoint - our ego. Its existence always results in defending this little space
against outside threat. There is much fear, tightness, and violence connected with this whole process, the underlying cause of many physical and emotional problems. No organism can be healthy if it uses up a large amount of its energy defending itself against what is felt to be a hostile universe. A healthy animal is aware of immediate danger, but does not feel the universe as a continual threat. So the experience of being cut off by our limited viewpoint - our ego - and its frantic self-centered pursuit cause us pain.
Through prayer and quiet meditation we ask for help and put ourselves in a state of total inclusion, which expresses wholeness and promotes physical and emotional health. Importantly, we can also utilize our quiet time of sleep. God's Angels will perform miracles - and we assist the process with prayer of thankfulness (give thanks) and specific request (ask) and continue with openness of belief (expectation) and patience (let it happen).
God's Angels come as a result of prayer and belief in God.
A simple and powerful way of prayer is:
1. Say Thank You. Be grateful and thankful. Speak to God who sends His Angels. "Father I thank you for the Angels you have sent before me . . ." 2. Ask. Be specific. 3. Believe. Trust that if what you are asking for is the right thing for you, then it will happen in the right way at the right time. Expect positive results. 4. Let It Happen. Allow God and God's Angels to do Their work.
