1. She's ugly. Michiru is also the prettiest Sailor Senshi.

Me : Ok, I appreciate this opinion. But remember "Anime beauty" is in the eye of the beholder.

2. She says the dumbest things. Her comments are always so odd or they just restate the obvious.

Me : Not dumb and not always odd. It's because her comments come from her pure heart. May be too pure for this person to understand. Besides, is it odd or dumb if she encourage her friends to study seriously ? At least she never says things that "hurt" her friends.

Note : her "odd" comment is often appear in Sailormoon R and S, but in Sailormoon SuperS she almost never say something like that. Another information, sometimes she also says the wisest things, check "Quote about Ami" for more information.

3. She's overrated. I don't see why she's the most popular of the Sailor Senshi.

Me : Hmm, you hate her just because she is popular ? For me, I am not angry or sad if Sailormoon, Sailorvenus, Sailormars, or Sailorneptune become the most popular Senshi ( Scout in NA version ). People choose their own favorite character, we should respect their choice, so we shouldn't insult their favorite character.

4. She's smart... but so is Michiru. She's rich... so are Haruka and Michiru. She can swim... so can Michiru. Ami has no other talents that make her seem better than anyone... while Michiru can also paint and play the violin. Mercury isn't even the strongest. (Are you trying to say that she can't dance, speak other language, fix car, etc ? She can do it too).

Me : She's very smart. Also, the facts is every character have their own talents. Makoto can cook very well, Rei can ward off evil spirit, Michiru can paint and play the violin. But, don't forget that Ami can play chess and operating her Mini Supercomputer better than anyone. That's why Luna choose her to take the Mini Supercomputer. She also have a good personality.

Note : may be it's because many of her talents only appear one time, so some people don't remember it. But I do remember.

5. She has to use her stupid visor and mini supercomputer! Can we say dependent on a machine's intellect?

Me : The truth is machine that depends on human. If human don't operate it, it won't have any use. Also, the one who have intellect is human, not machine. Machines only have program. Back again to Sailormercury. If Sailormercury didn't use her "stupid" visor and Mini Supercomputer, then maybe all Inner Senshi were already dead from the beginning. So that means all Senshi should work together and help each other.

6. She is weak and useless.

Me : " Old and unfair " statement about her. Before I continue, let me ask you one thing, which seasons you are talking about ? Sailormoon, Sailormoon R, Sailormoon S, Sailormoon SuperS or Sailormoon SailorStars ? Because, it is true that she is weak in Sailormoon and Sailormoon R ( although some people misunderstand weak as useless ). But in Sailormoon S, she got more powerful attack Shine Aqua Illusion, which ,of course, more powerful than Shabon Spray. This attack ( although still weak ) can do damage to enemy. How about in Sailormoon SuperS ? Her attack is as strong as Jupiter's attack. Yes, it's true. Her power changes, but one thing never change, her attack is always a non violent type.

Note : Power is not everything.

7. Her fashion style is bad.

Me : Well, since I don't know (and don't care) much about fashion style, I can't give you explanation. But just look at my Sailormercury gallery and decide by yourself. One more thing about her fashion style, bad or good, at least she never wore weird clothes, am I right ?

8. She has no life.

Me : So, we're talking about life style. Just get an example from real world. Sometimes all of us are too selfish. May be you think someone who likes to read/study too much have a boring life style. But it is your opinions right ? What about theirs ? The "boring type" people (if they're really boring, but I don't think that way) also have opinions. They might think that your life style is disgusting or irritating. You have your own life style, they have theirs, and I have mine. All of us have our own life style and also have opinions about other's lifestyle. It will be too selfish if we make a statement about people's life style without at least knowing, thinking and realizing their statement about ours.

9. Her color coordination: Blue on Blue on Blue on Blue... hmm... maybe Blue tomorrow?

Me : One of the most stupid reason to hate Sailormercury I've ever seen. It's blue on light blue. What's the matter with that ? Blue is one of good color too.

10. The fact that she is absolutely NO help to any of the senshi. Hmm, bubbles are gonna do some damage, aren't they? That's right, just blind me momentarily while I go take my nice warm relaxing bath.

Me : Refer to no 6. The fog is NOT momentarily. Have you ever seen the fog fades away in the middle of the battle ? Anyway, can you go take your "nice warm relaxing bath" IF you're blind ? Or, you're in the middle of confusing fog and you're thinking about having a "nice warm relaxing bath" ?

11. Shes soo retarded. She thinks she's better than all sailor scouts, thinks she's smarter. They also show her the 2nd most on the show when they should show more of sailor jupiter (ahhh) and sailor venus (ooh)...

Me : This is probably the most stupid opinions I've ever seen. She never think that way. She never insult them. Never in the shows, she is babbling about herself. In facts she always fear about losing her friends. The one who think that she's smarter than anyone is Usagi ( Serena in U.S version ), and nothing is wrong with that. Even her friends think that way too. Refer to my section : " Quote about Ami ". Also if "they" show Sailormercury the 2nd most on the show, then why don't you hate "them" instead of hating her ?
