Also, BROOKS, JOLLEY, RICHARDSON, MOORE and a few others.
This web page is a new experience for me. Hopefully, we will be
adding more information
as time goes along. I hope you will find something that will
help in your research.
Credit for this page goes to my grandson. I appreciate Blake and
the time he has spent
getting this page established. Thank you Blake! I have
four special grandchildren, three
boys and a girl, as well as three special children, two daughters and
a son. The world’s
best children and grandchildren, without a doubt.
Collison WATERS, b. Abt. 1789, reportedly in Cherokee Nation, GA, and
d. 1832. He is
buried in the Waters Family Cemetery, Hall Co., GA (on the Hall/Gwinnett
Co. line). It is
possible this family came to GA from SC; however, I have found no proof
as yet. Some
think Collison was a descendant of John WATERS of Amherst Co., VA.
If you have any
information on this family, I would love to hear from you.
My ancestor, James JOLLEY, b. Dinwiddie Co., VA, 1776, went to Chatham
Co., NC,
1796, and then to Rutherford Co., NC, December 12, 1803. He married
Kisiah JOLLEY
(possibly a cousin), July 19,. 1798, in Orange Co., NC. James
Jolley died January 6,1853,
and is buried in the Jolley Family Cemetery, Cleveland Co., NC.
I believe the other lines I am researching probably followed the VA > NC > SC route.
If you see a possible connection, please let me know and we can share information.
