A wedding is a complex orchestration. Creating a meaningful ceremony and memorable party
to follow takes a great deal of coordination and ingenuity, all of which you have to do
while wearing elaborate costumes. With all the details to be handled and all that you have
invested emotionally in the big day, something is bound to go wrong. The key is that old
Boy Scout motto: BE PREPARED. Below you will find a list of items you
might want to collect in order to prepare yourself for the big day. Not all items will be
appropriate for you; just pick out those that might be needed in your situation. Place all
the items you choose to include into a duffle bag or something similar. Since no bride or
groom wants to spend the wedding day lugging around an unsightly gym bag, check with your
site coordinators to see if there is a place you can stow your kit while at each location.
Ask an attendant or family member to be responsible for carrying the bag from one site to
the next and stowing it in the proper place. Since this bag may contain your medications,
makeup, and other supplies, you may want to ask that attendant or family member to make
sure the kit makes it to your getaway car or honeymoon suite with your other bags at the
end of the night.
