Grover Island- Dec. 6, 1998

You can put in at the Crooked River boat ramp and circumnavigate the island in about 4 hours. The tide will determine which way you start around the island, but either way you end up at the same boat ramp. There is an abundace of bird life with brown pelicans, cormorants, little blue herrons, common loons, great egrets, and wood storks. There are some decent places to stop and eat lunch. There aren't any facilities on the island. There is a $3 parking fee at the boat ramp.

Resting on the island.

Buzzards in tree.

Osprey nest.

Cormorants and woodstorks.
