"A basic eternal truth of this Church
is that families may, if they are worthy,
have an eternal relationship; for us it would not
be heaven without our parents, our grandparents,
our eternal companions, our children, and our posterity."
James E. Faust (167th Annual General Conference)

"A Love Worth Living For"

C.J. Ingerson
2/26/99

Verse 1
********

Sent forth to leave our families
to join with another to become one
this is the power of true precious love
to take a look at forever and know
as a couple you'll there obtain
all that Father has promised.

Verse 2
********

I look towards the day when
hand in hand I see my family
all as one in the eternities
to be together and understand
how they lived and what they did
so I would have the chance
to be a me instead of someone
I wouldn't know or want to be.

Verse 3
********

To be able to hold in my arms
the little ones we lost before
they were able to endure this earth
to raise a generation of children
and grandchildren in love unfeigned
in the forever presents of others
who've loved me enough
to allow me to be me.

Verse 4
********

For most this is not a reality
that is easily understood
but a careful reading
of the New Testament
especially in James
but the verse I love best
is 1 Peter 3:7 where he says,
"...and as being heirs together
of the grace of life..."
Together eternally
as a family,
now that is love
worth living for.
