"Happiness is a Sunday Morning"

C.J. Ingerson
11/22/98

Verse 1
*******

"Happiness is to wake up . . .
finding the roads empty
on the way to Church,
no one beeping their horn
for you to speed up
or even get off the road.

Verse 2
********

It is finding warm water
if you are traveling
while you prepare to go
and meet with Father
while other turn over in bed.

Verse 3
********

It is the peace of morning
with the quietness of singing
as each radio station obeys
and runs the special programs
required and enforced by the FCC.

Verse 4
********

Happiness is Sunday morning
when your family can kneel
in reverent prayer together
or stand and sing praises
to the Father and the Son. . ."

"When Will I be There?"

Verse 1
********

Often I've wondered
how long is this road
traveled on so long
as to know the ruts
the bends and dips
its highs and lows
where it is dangerous
when it is safe to go on,
yet till now I still don't
know how long it is
and how far I've yet
to go till I'll be there.

Verse 2
********

It can't be too much longer
till I reach this roads end
but I wonder if there will
be another road just then
to have to travel once again
but it mattereth not to me
for this road or another
all lead to the same place
and someday if I'm worthy
I'll find myself there and safe
at the roads final resting place
being held by Father once again.
