Why do I cry

Why do I cry |

Why do I cry

When I cry sometimes |
Verse 1 *******
Mother told me when I cry
|
Verse 2 ********
When I asked, "What lamp?" |
Verse 3 ********
"What for, we've lights
|
Verse 4 ********
Well then she opened |
Verse 5 ********
She turned to a well worn part
|
Verse 6 ********
I said, "Because they cried |
Verse 7 *******
"That is neat," I said, |
Verse 1 *******
I just can't do it, no way!

Verse 2 ********
For once it wasn't mom |
Verse 3 ********
I said, "All of it, everything!"
|
Verse 4 ********
Then he gave me his smile, |
Verse 5 ********
He started, "Man by nature
|
Verse 6 ********
"Yes!" I answered knowing |
Verse 7 ********
"Why, would you want
|
Verse 8 ********
"Then I would be happy, |
Verse 9 ********
He asked, "Is that what
|
Verse 10 ********
He then continued, "But this |
Verse 11 ********
"A garden to grow needs to be
|
Verse 12 ********
"My teacher says I will grow, |
Verse 13 ********
"My lovely child it is not physical
|
Verse 14 ********
"Not a whim or found by mistake; |
Verse 15 ********
"If all was easy, you'd never grow
|
Verse 16 ********
"Does everything have to be hard?" |
Verse 17 ********
"How will I learn to do the difficult?"

Verse 18 ********
Even now with the years gone by |
Verse 1 *******
Heavenly Father why were
|
Verse 2 ********
I've cried till I hurt within |
Verse 3 ********
How do I get them to stop
|
Verse 4 ********
You've taught me by them |
Verse 5 ********
With my prayer to you now
|
Verse 6 ********
You've told me love can move |
Verse 7 ********
Wait here they come just now
|
Verse 8 ********
Yes the hymns were right |
Verse 9 *******
Thank you Heavenly Father |

Tonight it is easy to say my prayers

It is so apparent in you I love so |

The tenderness of your touch
