"The Truth About Diets"

Verse 1
*******

The diet is the quest,
as the stomach does protest,
no more treats to test,
you'll now get no rest.

Verse 2
*******

And then laughter you hear,
from far away to fear,
at this do your best dear,
this is only a test cheer.

Verse 3
*******

So in you find less,
you'll get no rest,
I'll be your pest,
soon I you'll detest.

Verse 4
*******

For wind and rain,
in force hurricane
is driving you insane
causing you much pain.

Verse 5
*******

It's force is here,
trying to do with fear,
to keep you from seeing clear,
that the end is not near.

Verse 6
*******

So push and pull you may,
scream, holler, have your say,
but for all you've done you'll pay,
did you think calories were play,

Verse 7
*******

Now the damage is done,
your rest is really gone,
yet you'll get no song,
though the time is long.

Verse 8
*******

For one pound you lose,
of the twenty you choose,
you'll sing the blues,
and a new exerciser use.

Verse 9
*******

But the wind and rain,
will only bring pain,
you will wish in vain,
for no more gain.

Verse 10
*******

But you must hurry,
around you must scurry,
your hair in a flurry,
your mood really surly.

Verse 11
*******

And until you complete,
learning not to retreat,
only then this feat,
will you fully defeat.

Verse 12
*******

So please don't quit,
in the storm's eye spit,
tell the weight to split,
from off your hip to git.

Verse 13
*******

Now this can be fun,
because I can't run,
hope you have no gun,
this poem on diets, is done.
