To explain it all now,
would be too difficult
as you are too close
to the fire to see
the wisdom in the ashes.

Think of all the things
we've talked about;
remember precious things
don't weigh as much
as those that are hurtful.

Can we give it a little time
then we'll chat and take our time?
For eternal things are forever
and sometimes we need the privacy
to be alone in studing the fire.

As in the ashes of eternal time
is found the history of man
and once known to all
there will be no excuses
to those who look to see.

The wisdom found in the ashes
if pondered and studied will teach
us about forever and ever
not as a man teacheth
but as God from above.

So when studing these ashes
blown by the four winds
to cover the land and sea
no part of earth untouched
then their will be no excuses.

As these ashes of time
are for us to learn
or to repeat mistakes
our forefathers made
and thus forfeit life eternal.

Oh the ashes are free to see
there is no cost to pay
and no man to hire
to help you understand
or get gain from them.

These ashes come from
Heavenly Father alone above
sent to us with all his love
for who has a child
he would not instruct?
