The Astronomy Club of Augusta rescheduled its Prep and Star Gaze due to bad weather
from April 07, Saturday, to April 05, Thursday at 6PM at NMR-DSO. Seven members attended.

We were not able to do much prep, but there seems to br a good number of experienced volunteers to help with Telescopes on the Lawn for Astronomy Night coming up.

Richard, Garret, and Pat were busy observing and photographing while we had pleasant conversation.

Victor and Cathy enjoyed the evening and said they would be ready on Apr. 21. As time went by, even Thursday became somewhat cloudy, and most left. Victor and Cathy stayed though, and were happy to find the stars reappearing and enjoyed the clear skies with Stan and Tedda.

Respectfully submitted,
Tedda Howard, ACA Secretary

The Astronomy Club of Augusta met on April 21, Saturday, 7:30-10:30PM at the RPSEC, to host Telescopes on the Lawn for Astronomy Night. Attendance: ~12 members and _____ guests.

Our President, Kenneth Beard, was in charge.
Kenneth put together volunteers for our ACA Astronomy Night Outreach, Telescopes on the Lawn. They used naked-eye, small and large reflector and refractor telescopes, Newtonian and Dobsonian mounts, etc. for observing the first quarter moon, Jupiter, constellations, stars, clusters, etc. Young Hugh gave a presentation on Light with the assistance of his Dad and Granddad. Many thanks to MargaretY for helping with registrations, ErvinD for refreshments, and to GaryS for soft drinks and water.

There were intermittent clouds, but observation of the moon went well.

We had a nice crowd of observers, including some young people. We had one new member join.

Respectfully submitted,
Tedda Howard, ACA Secretary
