This month’s
program convened at 7:28 pm after a brief technical challenge in setting up for
the presentation. President Kenneth Beard
introduced the speaker, our own Mark Moffatt with a very helpful presentation
titled: “All I Want for Christmas Is…”.
Mark drew upon
years of experience with his interest in Astronomy to share possible sources of
holiday gifts for beginner, amateur, as well as experienced astronomy
enthusiasts. This is especially timely
as we approach the gift giving season next month. As promised in his introduction, Mark shared
a treasure trove of gift ideas, books and sources for buying the “good stuff”
highly appropriate for the astronomer and science lovers on our gift
lists. A listing is included at the end
of these minutes, and is also listed with other suggestions on the Calendar of
Events page, Dec. 15 Models 2.
