40) a-ha: Take on Me ( I love the cartoon feeling of it)
20)Shanice: When I close my eyes
(Love Shanice and that smile)
19) Aaliyah: Are you that Somebody
(Best Club song of All time)
18) Cher: Beleive
(Reminds me of Virtual Vic-E and with that voice)
17) Alanis M.: Unsent
(Love the lyrics, so different)
16) Brandy w/Wanya: Brokenhearted
(So beautiful, love the duet.)
15) Usher: Bedtime (Live)
14) Monica: Before you walk out of my life
(Strong voice, beautiful heartful song)
13) Ginuwine: What's so Different
(The graphics are just off the hook)
12) TLC: Creep
(The pajamas are just so COOL!)
11) Janet: Again
(I love the feeling of love in this video)
10) Micheal Jackson: Earth Song... This song has a had a huge impact on me. The messge is so strong, and the video blows your mind. It starts off in the wilderness nice and calm, and then just goes crazy as Micheal brings forth a massive Huricane. If we don't take care of the earth, we won't live to see another day.
9)Fugees: Killing Me Softly... Lauryn Hill, version brought Hip Hop and R&B together, making it one of the hottest songs of my time. The video has the Fugees sitting in the Movies. It's just them in everyday life, and not superstars. The Fugees could never lose touch of where they came from, no matter how big they was. The song represnts how someone from Newark, New Jersey (like myself) can come out of the streets and do anything possible, like Lauryn Hill.
8) Spice Girls: Spice up your life... I am a big fan of furturistic music, and even though the song is not that furturistic, the video sure is. I love the Graphics. It takes place in a New York, 2000 something, and the Girls are in this spacecraft and they have on these sexy gothic dark outfits. The Spice Girls always had a way of promoting FUN, and even in this dark world, they are still Spicing it up!
7) TLC: Waterfalls... They waterfall symbolizes a point of no return, downhill, destruction of one's soul. TLC has taken this beautiful waterful scene of a gorgeous blue ocean and open a lot of eyes when one chases a waterfall. The song and message stands on it's own, but the video brings that message into reality. It lets everyone know that TLC is talking about. The beauty of the morphing waterlike TLC give the video a mystical effect, while still dealing witht he problems of Street Life and Unprotected sex. TLC has that gift of changing the world, and showing how we see the world we live in, with there music and videos.
6) Celine Dion: All by Myself... She is the only singer that actually made me cry. I am a guy and confident in my manhood to admit that. The video takes place at one of her concerts, and when she sings you can feel the emotions. The video helps in the imagery and it connects to your soul in an instanyt. When you are lonely, all those feelings you keep behind the past few days are released as she hits this one high note and then te bass comes in, then all your tears starts pouring down, and you can't stop it, so you just feel the pain. Celine helped me realese a lot of tension, all thanks to that one song and video.
5) Jordon Knight: Give it to you... Looks like the New Kid on the Block is back, but not singing some 80's teen love songs, but some Hip Hop, Club like, Pop R&B love songs for the 90's. His style has changed and the song has so many combinitaions that can keep you dancing, and speaking of which, can he dance? In this video, I have seen some great dancing, but this one tops it all, where he combines fun, sex, and robotizinm into his dance style. The video is colorful and it has great cinematics. This video is off the hook, a good way to come back for Mr. Jordon.
4) Brandy and Monica: Boy is Mine... One of my favorite songs, and the best Duet I have ever hear. Brandy and Monica was always meant to sing together, and the song proves it. In the video the two girls have the same guy, and they are in there own apartments talking about how much the boy is is there's. The video is so colorful and it accents the gril's beauty. The rotating apartments are great, and even rotating screen transition was something i never seen before. At the end Brandy and Monica team up to get rid of the Scrubs that was playing both of them, which I think was a good move. Brandy and Monica's voices combine well, and the song is off the hook!
3) TLC's Diggin on you... The one thing I want to do before I die is go to a TLC concert, and just buy watching this video, I can see a glimpse of what it's like. The video version of Diggin on you, is much more LIVE and the horns brings out that concert feeling. The Lights and the silver just takes the video to another level. TLC performance was so exciting, and the song is so upbeat groovy. The video even shows clips of them on the CrazySexyCool Tour, and shows there specific personalities. I love this video cause everytime I watch it, I get this feeling of happiness, and it just reminds me of how much i ove TLC.
2) Aaliyah: 4 Page Letter... Ever since I see this video, I have had various dreams of an exotic woman who would save me from a cage and show me the wonders of an island and her love. Ever time I see this video I put myself into it and feel that somewhere out there, there is a woman for me, and we just haven't meet her yet. Aaliyah is so gorgoeus, they way she sings, makes me think that she is singing to me. Her style has a crazysexycool, and the video takes on a very Exotic feeling of love, lust, and fantasy. The video is gorgeous, and I love how Aaliyah dances with the guy. it just reminds me that there is true love out there. I am always lookin for a 4 page letter in my mailbox.
and the Number One Favorite Video of all time is...
1) TLC: No Scrubs... (what else!) yes thevideo just came out and it's OFF THE HOOK!!! The futuristic feeling with fashion and style goes well. Scrubs beware because T-Boz, Left Eye, and Chilli, are brushing those scrubs away. It's the hottest song of 1999, and the million dollar video proves it. The video shows that TLC is back, and the girls look gorgeous. Chilli looks so sexy on that swing, and T-Boz's bad girl look is off the hook. I can't forget Left Eye's phat rap and her fancy futuristic Karate moves. TLC is back with a Vengence with No Scrubs which is my number one video!!! Now U can make it number one on Total Request Live by clicking on the link below...
