Allow me to welcome you to Solomon's Lodge No.1, the oldest continuously operating Masonic Lodge in the country. 1999 promises to be an exciting and interesting year in the life of our Lodge. Members of the Lodge should pay close attention to their trestleboards, other mail, and newspaper articles which will announce upcoming events.
Regular meetings will be especially gratifying to those who attend. Planned programs with guest speakers will occur at each meeting, so mark your calendars for the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month save for July, August, and December when we only meet on the first Thursday.
Special events will occur throughout the year and we hope to see many of you participate in these great happenings. Our Sunbury celebration will be held on March 6, and our Lodge picnic will take place on May 1. Other special functions include Lodge exchange visitations, creative fundraising activities, conferral of the Third Degree at the Sandpit Ceremonial, and many more events that will be announced as we proceed throughout the year.
Please feel free to peruse this web site. There is a History page which explains how our Lodge was brought into fruition, an Events page which will be updated from time to time, and a Links page which also includes photographs of the 1999 officers.
Participation and attendance is always welcome and encouraged, and I have no doubt we will have a very successful and enjoyable year serving together for the benefit of the Craft in general, and particularly Solomon's Lodge.
In Brotherly Love,
Clyde E. Griffin, PGM, WM
