Your site must be a personal site. It MUST be able to be viewed by children. It also MUST be more than just a links page, a line up of photo's or click to graphics.
You MUST give credit for the materials you have borrowed for your sight. Also, you must load your graphics from your own site, those stealing bandwith will not be awarded.
ALL links MUST work. Spelling, grammar and punctuation count. I do not care for frames but WILL award a good frames site if I find one (I have seen a few). It would help your chances if your site offers a frames - no frames choice to your visitors.
Your site should be nicely designed and easy to navigate. Navigation is a BIG point getter in our award requirements. Back buttons or better yet drop downs or indexes on every page is helpful to make your site easier to navigate.
Your contents should be plentiful and interesting to read. Your graphics should be of good quality. Your pages should load quickly although we will allow a certain amount of leniency to those sites that are graphic heavy, such as the art sites, fantasy sites and other similar types of websites. Framing or special graphic effects on photos is a nice touch.
If you win an award you do NOT have to link it back to us but it would be appreciated. We would appreciate an email saying that you received the award ok and that you are displaying it. There is no point in our wasting our time reviewing your site if you do not have enough pride in winning the award to display it.
Creativity either in your contents or graphics is a BIG plus. Original graphics, java and unique design is the key here. We are looking for very special sites. These awards are designed to recognize excellence.
