Opened in May of 1992 and dedicated on July 19th, the Hansford Allen Statenville Library boasts a collection of around 2,500 books. Its newest editions consists of 500 volumes, mostly Accelerated Reader selections donated by Governer Zell Miller.

Branch Manager Jackie Culpepper says that the part she likes best about her job is working with children; she rotates book collections to around 20 school classes, and reads bi-monthly in the schools to children ranging from 2nd through 8th grades.

This little branch is a honey of a place. With a reading area that seats twenty and a meeting room that can accomodate the same, the hospitality and quality of the staff make up for what the place lacks in size. Come and see for yourself. Jackie will make you feel right at home!
