"I never found a companion that was so companionable as solitude."
Henry David Thoreau

Hours

Monday - Friday: 11 - 6
Saturday: 11 - 2

Opened in 1986, the Lakeland Library is the oldest of the branch libraries, with a collection of around 7,500 books. Branch Manager Betty Bradford and Gladys Seaman enjoy helping to meet their patrons' literary needs. They also cater weekly to fourteen classes at Lakeland Elementary. Preschool Story time is held on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Ms. Bradford, a lover of country music, wants everyone to know that her love for her work is every bit as great. Come in and experience "plain old hospitality!"
