A Mothers Kiss

A Mothers Kiss

When Eve left the garden
Her head hung in shame
She was so sure
That God had forgotten her name
The tears where falling soft like rain
As she walked down that dusty lane
But God took time and touched her lips
And placed on her the Mother's kiss.

Now every time a child is hurt
And runs to mother's side
She bends down and kisses it
And wipes the pain away
Little hands hug her neck
And it runs back to play
Once again Eve is reminded
That God never forgot her name.

A mother's kiss is a precious gift
Given straight from God
It can cure all kinds of hurts
Even mending little hearts
It can change frowns to smiles
And even make the tear drops stop
It is without a doubt
The greatest gift that mothers have
