North Gwinnett High School is located in Suwanee, Georgia, a small suburb of Atlanta. It is one of 13 public high schools in Gwinnett County. Gwinnett County is the largest school system in the state of Georgia and the NGHS band is a great reprensitation of how hard our students work to achieve their best.
The North Gwinnett High School band is under the direction of Mr. Brian Lambeth, with assisting by Mr. Marion English. Both directors are in their first year of teaching at NGHS. Other band directors at NGHS include Mr. David Jernigan, Mr. Mike Elam, Mr. Bruce Dinkins, and Mr. William Prescott.
The NGHS Bulldog Regiment Band has participated in numerous parades and field competitions over the years. Every year, the Bulldog Regiment band competes in a Bands of America regional competition. In 1994, the band placed 4th in finals at the Atlanta regional. In 2001, the Bulldog Regiment Band marched in the "Magical Music Days" parade at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida in front of a crowd of over 5,000 people. The Bulldog Regiment has traveled to such places as Virginia, Florida, and the Bahamas for their annual Spring Trip, a week long trip during spring break.
North Gwinnett's symphonic and concert bands attend the GMEA Band Festival held at the University of Georgia every spring. Our students also attend workshops every spring, such as Jan-Fest at the University of Georgia. North Gwinnett also supports their winter guard, jazz band, and indoor drumline.
