One of my favorite web sites are the smurfs. The smurfs was a very popular television cartoon show during the 1980's. The cartoon started when a director of NBC television saw how much his daughter enjoyed a smurf doll in a shop window. The smurfs were only about six inches tall or about three apples and colored blue. The most popular of all the smurfs was Papa smurf, he was the only one cool enough to wear red. The smurfs lived in a magical village that was rarely discovered by any one, but when it was discover the smurfs would use smurf magic to erase all the village's history. The smurfs had only one real enemy his name was Gargamel. The show was so popular the it created a sninoff called the Snorks. Another one of my favorite web sites is the Cats site. Cats is a musical that travels all around the US doing show after show. The play is based on fourteen poems out of TS Elliot's book of Old Possums Book of practical cats. The first production of Cats was in the new London Theater on May 11, 1981. It celibrated it's birthday eight years later. Cats is one of the most successful musicals the world has ever known. The musical cats has been performed about 3,358 time. It is estimated that over forty-eight million people have seen the show. My last but not least site is NES. The nes (Nintendo Entertainment System) was made in 1983 and made popular in 1985. The NES was released in the Christmas season in 1985. The nes sold for about $150.00 dollars. The system had more ram than any other previous gaming system. It had a 8-bit microprocessor and a custom graphics chip that sported a max of 52 colors when any other previous system had 18 colors max. Patrick Bryant 8th grade
