My Favorite Quotes

"The true measure of a man
is not how he behaves in moments of comfort and convenience
but how he stands at times of controversy and challenge."
(Martin Luther King Jr.)

"The credit belongs to the man who is actually in the arena ... who strives valiantly,
who errs and comes short again and again because there is no effort without shortcomings,
who spends himself in a worthy cause, who at the best knows in the end the high achievement of triumph
and who at worst, if he fails while daring greatly, knows his place
shall never be with those timid and cold souls who know neither victory nor defeat."
(Theodore Roosevelt)

"Success is not measured by what a man accomplishes,
but by the opposition he has encountered,
and the courage with which he maintained the struggle against overwhelming odds."
(Charles Lindbergh)

"The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence,
regardless to their chosen field of endeavor."
(Vincent T. Lombardi)

"In the middle of every DIFFICULTY lies OPPORTUNITY"
(Albert Einstein)

Tips and Tricks:

To disable "System Restore" in Window XP - Professional Edition:

("System Restore" is the window's system utility that allows you to recover your lost important files after you accidently delete it.
Since it can restore your lost files, it can also restore the viruses after you remove them.
Therefore, it is a good idea to turn this option OFF before you manually attempt to remove the viruses.
Don't forget to re-activate this option again after removing the viruses (or you wouldn't be able to recover your lost files in the future).
Don't forget to empty your recycle bin after you delete the viruses).
  1. Right click on "My Computer". (You can locate it via the "Start" menu)
  2. Select "Properties".
  3. Select "System Restore" tab.
  4. Check "Turn off System Restore" option.
  5. Click on "Apply".

To gain access to "System Volume Information" folder:

(Since this is your system's hidden folder, it is a nice spot for hackers to place their viruses.
Be careful when deleting files in this folder. Make sure that it is a virus before you attempt to delete it.
After deleting, don't forget to empty your recycle bin).
  1. Open "Control Panel". (You can locate it via the "Start" menu)
  2. On the menu bar, select "Tools".
  3. On the pull-down menu, select "Folder Options".
  4. Select "View" tab.
  5. Scroll down to "Hidden files and folders".
  6. Select "Show hidden files and folders".
  7. UNCHECK "Hide extensions for known file types."
  8. UNCHECK "Hide protected operationg system files (Recommended)."
  9. Click on "Apply".
To put your system folders back to hidden mode after removing the viruses, repeat the above procedure from step#1 -> step#5.
For step#6, select "Do not show hidden files and folders".
Then do the exact opposite for step#7 and step#8.

To gain access to your system registry:

(The system registry doesn't normally show up in your hard drives like other programs such as the following location:
"HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Stats\[Name of Virus]"
Therefore, it is also a favorite place for hackers to hide their viruses there.
Some time, in other to manually remove certain viruses, you'll need to access this place).
  1. Select "Start".
  2. Select "Run". (Then, a small windown called "Run" should appear)
  3. Type "regedit" into the "Open" dialog box. Then Hit "Ok".
(NOTE that "HKCU" stands for "HKEY_CURRENT_USER")
