PERMANENT - FULL TIME (part time hours considered by negotiation)

The Identity Services Group is the primary source of information on personal identity and key life events. It registers Birth, Death, Marriage and Civil Union details, issues Passports and manages applications for New Zealand Citizenship.

Identity Services has underway a programme of significant systems development that affects all areas of our business. This position will provide technical project management expertise to support our programme of business change, facilitated by significant information system development across hardware platforms, business data and software applications.

You will be familiar with contemporary Information System delivery methodologies and architectures and ideally possess some knowledge of government processes, planning and reporting requirements. This expertise will come from your significant experience in the IT industry, including a sound knowledge of the SLDC and exposure to vendor management and business analysis.

Key requirements for success in this role include:

  • Proven project management success in a range of IT focussed projects
  • Expertise with creating deliverables using a variety of SDLC methodologies
  • Exposure to E-govt / E-Commerce architectures and Standards
  • Familiarity with RFI / RFP processes
  • Degree in Business Management, IT or equivalent.

    New Zealand Citizenship and the ability to attain a satisfactory security clearance are essential.
