~A time of great change in American History~

The 1960's were a time of great change in
American History, in the after math of WWII and the beginning of the Vietnam
War. Some experts called the sixties a time of "counter-culture" where all
new more liberal ideas were forming to replace the much more conservative
times of the earlier 1900's. Also during the sixties many things were improved on and the country saw many changes in their way of life. Technology was continually improving during this time partly motivated by the Cold War era and the "Race to Space". Finally, the 60's were a time of individuality and revolutionary fashions and trends in the youth of the era. As the "Hippie" movement gained power more and more of Americas youth in the 60's bought into these changing trends.
