He is a smart, brave, witty and heroic. Played by Jake Gyllenhaal, Sam spends most of the film in NYC with his friends Brian Parks and Laura Chapman for a school quiz team competition. Originally, he resides in New Jersey with his mother. Sam holds a secret love for Laura and winds up joining the quiz team because of her. Throughout the film, as the climate is quickly changing, he ensures the health and safety of others by risking his own life. Definitely, a boy hero. //RULES 1.
