CHAS’ & RUBY’S
2006 UK TOUR

Friday, June 2nd:
The GIFFORD HOUSE

The Gifford House is an “attractive stone Victorian Terrace House,”
and the ONLY Bed &Breakfast establishment that
RUBY booked us into – during the ENTIRE trip!
[Below is an Internet Gifford House Pic!]

Oddly enough, Ruby has NO MEMORY of WHY she booked us there,
INSTEAD OF in a fancy schmancy Edinburgh “Hotel”!

All I can say is this,
“THE
GIFFORD
HOUSE
WAS
ABSOLUTELY
WONDERFUL
!!!”

I’m not at all certain
why Ruby wishes to
entirely AVOID
staying in B&B’s.

Perhaps she’s had a
“BAD” experience in
one or more B&Bs.

Personally … I’ve NEVER had a “BAD” B&B experience in Scotland.
As long as a PRIVATE BATHROOM is offered, I LUV B&B’s!!!

Above is MY PIC of the landing before the stairway to the 1st floor.
Below is an Internet pix of same. (I just thought this was funny! Sorry!)

This is a
(not particularly gude)
Internet pic
of the hallway
outside the
DOOR
to
OUR ROOM.

Here’s an Internet pic of MY BED.

Here’s MY PIC of RUBY’S BED.

(The other twin bed became a REPOSITORY for STUFF! LOL)

Below is RUBY’s pic of MY BED.

(I think she was working on another one of those NEATNESS COMPARISONS!)

Our room had a wonderful BAY WINDOW –

Both of its SIDE WINDOWS opened up to allow a lovely breeze in.

The Wardrobe and Desk. Yada … Yada …

The bathroom
was small,
but
QUITE
LOVELY

in addition
to being
ENTIRELY
FUNCTIONAL!

(Hell-LOOOO!?
What more
does one
NEED?!)

These last two pix I took because I thought the “molding” was so lovely.

(Get over it! LOL)
