Ryla stood at the entrance of the carnival, staring down at the clock on her cell phone. They'd all agreed to meet there as a group ... or mostly so .. .the stragglers could find them if they were mor than twenty minutes late. of course it had been Ryla that instituted that rule.

She wore her hair up in long ringlets that Tori had helped her put in rollers the night before. She'd even come over early to help her pin up her hair just right before she had scampered home to get the 'right' outfit ehrself. No doubt trying to impress Wood as much as Ryla was Tai.

Ryla wore a simple red summer dress over a pair of black jeans, since it was fall after all ... she had a cturty pair of sneakers for all the walking, and a black sweater on she'd nicked from Tai a few days before. it still smelled of him, or at least she thoguht it still did, she couldn't get away from all girly tendancies.

She chekced her cell phone again, and even though she figured Tori to be late, having to look just rihgt, and Rx to ... having to primp almost as much as Tori - Ryla laughed at the thought of Rex in front of his mirror staring at himself - she wondered what was keeping Tai ...

Then again, it was probably Rex himself ...

Adam pulled his arms through the sleeves of his jacket and moved to leaned agianst the door frame of the bedroom, watching Trini finish getting ready, "By the time you've tamed that strand of hair the carnival will be in Stone Canyon."

He grined cheekily, and tilted his head to stare at the woman he loved.

He had on a pretty plain pair of blue jeans and a black tshirt, with his green sweater over top. He brushed abck a bit of hair from his eyes, god he really needed to get a haircut.

Kim sighed and sat on the edge of Tommy's bed, pulling on a pair of boots that were more for style than comfort. After a second thought, she tossed them aside, and grabbed for sandels, but then opted against that, and finally decided on a pair of plain sneakers. She looked around the room ,discarded cltohing from rejected outfits layed all over the floor. She grinned a bit, and rushed around the room picking it all iup and refolding, knowing Tommy was a freak for neatness, and hoped to be done before he finsihed getting ready.

Jace pulled his black leather jacket on over a violet button down shirt. he lef tthe top three buttons open, flashing part of his firm chst muscles. He smiled as he jogged down the stairs. He managed to wqeselk an answer out of Tori whether becca was going to the carnival. For some reason ,the woman intrigued him ...

Maeve finsihed taming her curls, after blow drying them, she stuffed a fw elastics into her brown trousers, in case of high winds. She wore a slight low cut green v neck sweater, and had a light brown jacket to go over it, incase it was chilly. She left her room, and moved to the stairs, walking down slowly. She saw JAce, and as they seemed to settle their frequent arguements into being civil aroud one anotehr .. .as per Taren's 'suggestion', she smiled curtly to him, and walked int othe living room, laying her jacket on the side of the couch, and sitting down for a fw moments.

Zita stared into 'that room' again, it was driving her mad what could have took the girl from right under her nose?


Wood yawned deeply as he got out of bed, he wondered over to the mirror spotting a dried piece of cheese stuck in his dreads that had proberly been there over 24 hours.

Rex and Tai walked together toward the designated meeting place, just talking about nothing in particular. Guy stuff. Nothing of real interest

Tai wore old comfortable sneakers, new, crisp black jeans, a black wifebeater and a red long sleeved shirt over it.. His hair was in it's usually well geled spikey disarray

Rex on the otherhand looked like a poster boy for preps-r-us in his black slacks and yummy musclehugging black turleneck and his hair all neat for once

They waved at her from the distanced evn as they covered it

Trini made a face at him and reached for her light swued jackey that matched the color of her ling sued skirt and went well with her pale buttery colored blouse. "ready when you are," she said with a slight smirk

Raoul stood, arms crossed over his chest ooutside just enjoying the day. He was a bit more cleaned up, yet still comfortable. He smiled at Maeve. "Good afternoon, brujita mia," he greeted

Taran did not rent a van this time. The carnival was within walking distance. Enclosed spaces werenot good for this group. Man, he couldnt wait for them to get their powers back and send em all home. Much as he loved them., the whole living together thing he could do without

Tori turned this way and that looking in the mirror at herself before discarding one outfit for another

Becca stood near Ryla, yet apart, humming to herself. She looked semi normal roday, a yellow hooded shirt over a longer white one that reached her thoughs over a skirt over a pair of jeans oover a pair of boots. She had her hair twisted in a haphazrd bun stuck with three chocpsticks

Ryla fliped her phone closed, and waved back, before setting her hands on her hips. She stared at Rex, before closing the distance between her and her boyfriend, "Rex keep you both up i presume," she pecked him on the lips and smiled, "You look nice ..."

She winked at Rex and rolled her eyes, "You too lover boy ..."

She flipped her phone open again, and speedidaled Troi's num ber, "just getting an update on what outfits don't work so far ..."

Maeve smiled to him, and nodded, taking amoment to lok at his clothing, "you look quite nice today Raoul ..."

She smiled and closed the front door, closing the space from ehr and Jace, "It is the perfect day for the carnival, I am glad Tori brought it up ...

Adam held his arm out to her, and winked, in a gentlemanly fashin, "Then let us away my lady ... the carnival awaits ..."

Rex mad a face. "Actually, I had to wait for him to his hair at the perfect stand up consistancy," he stated. "You sure look pretty yourself today. I do you you actually primped. i'm shocked" he declared

Tai popped Rex upside the head as usual. "He's right though, you look great today," he said and waited for her to finish her call

Becca scrunched her nose and made a comical face. "Mush," she said with a snort

"big time mush," Rex agreed

Tori picked up her ringing phone as she surveyed one of her already tssed aside outits only she changed something minor and likes it better. "Yeah?" she askd abently

"And you lok beautiful as always, brunita," Raoul assured with a grin. He glanced at Jace and his grinned turned amused. "And, my, you look pretty too," he said. He was obviously in a pretty good moo

Trini took his arm. "Then lead on my prince," she said with a smile

Ryla blushed a bit, and kissed Tai on the lips in thanks as she rolled he eyes qat the other two, "Tori ... don't make me drag you out here naked ... though I'm sure wood would thank me for it ... now pick something girl ..."

She sighed audibly into the phone, "What about that pink thingy skirt withthe other pink yarny like duster jacket and that cute white frilly shirt ..."

She really wasn't good at really girly things .. .but she was trying ...

Jace stared at Raoul a moment, ebfore smirking, "I'll take that as a backhanded compliment ... you look ... quite ... tidied up I suppose the words would be ..." he nodded to Maeve, "Thoug he's right ,... yu do look beautiful ..."

Maeve simply rolled her eyes at Jace and her cheeks pickened from Raoul's coment, "Thank you Raoul ... thoug hI say you look better tha nsimply 'tidied up' ..."

She took in a long rbeht of fresh air, "Ahh ... Angel Grove bustles like a city .. but stil lthe freshness and purity of small town ..." she smiled to Raoul, "It's wuite a rare thing not to smell the smog and pollution .."

Adam smirked, "Sure thing my princess ..."

He linked arms with her, and pressd the button on her communicator. He really nneeded to get Billy to get him one. They materialized in the brush of the park. After looking around to make sure no one could see them. He nodded, "Much closer walking distance now ..."

Ariana too was in the park, only much closer to the carnival. She wore a white connton sweater which was a bit large for hr, but she rolled up the sleeves to fit, and a pair of black jeans, not unlike ryla's. She had a palin pair of white sneakers on, and a pair of oversized sunglases on her eyes. She wore a black bucket hat over her head, and looked very much incogneto ... though if not a bit obviously so ...

She walked slowly to the carnival, hopefully this was a good idea ... she was still on thin ice with the femme red, especially since she'd found out the two reds had reconciled and gotten back together ...

Mental note: stay far from the couple ... so not look at the couple .. .no not attempt to acknoladge Tai, or ignore Ryla .. no not make Ryla angry ... if Ryla ios made angry ... run

Tori blushed at the naked comments and scowled at her phone. Then she brightened. "Hey, you know..." she started gathering the items Ryla suggested. "That'll actually work. You have a good eye, Red," she declared and hung up on her. Bad habit she had apparantly. She began changing again

Rex chuckled and stuffed his hands in his pockets, but he didn't dare say anything more.

Tai grinned and dropped an arm around her waist absently

Raoul looked around. "I guess I'm just a villiage boy," he said said absently and looked at Jace and quirked a brow, but said nothing more

Taran yawned, leaning against a porch rail half asleep.

"Cheater," Trini said, but she was laughing softly.

Ryla smiled to the phone before closing it abruptly, "Hmm ... maybe I am more girly than I thought," then she shuddered, "perish the thought ..."

She smiled and leaned against Tai, smirking towards becca, trying to get the teasing of Rexx off her and Tai, to Becca perhaps, "You know becaa ... I heard throug hthe grapevine ... TOri obviosuly, that you've got yourself a male suiter eyeing for you affection ..."

She was speaking of Jace, which Tori had been complaingi over the night before while she did her hair. Apparently he never shut ups whe nhe wants something ...

Maeve shrugged, "And I myself am a small town girl ..."

She eyed Taren a moment, and smiled. She moved over to him and knelt down, before jolting him gently, in a joling way ," Stay with the waking world Taren."

JAce had to laugh a biit, and shrugged himself as well, "Well I'm not miuch to add ... I can't dare say I'm a small town boy ... not evn a small palace boy ..."

Adam shrugged, "Don't wanna wear out those petty legs of yours kitten ... I rather like them when they're lively ..."

H winked and held her clsoe, kissing her softly, before beganning to lead her in the direction of the carnival.

"Oh, stalker prince," Becca commented, scrunching her nose

"Stalker prince?" Rex chuckled. "Hmm, that doesn't bode well for his chances now does it?"

Becca blushed somehwat but refused to comment

Taran jumped slightly. "Whao, sh!tfire! Don't do that to a feller," he said in disgruntlement

Raoul raised a brow. "What are you doing to our exalted leader, brujita?" he asked in amusemnt

Trini blushed and let him lead her away

Ryla smirked and laugehd a bit, "Oh come on now .. he's a prince .. and from what I saw at the pppool party ... pretty handsome," she assuered her boyfirned, ":But not as ruggedly handsome as you, I promise ..."

SHe turned back to Becca, "But a prince ... come on ..." she laughed a bit, "Tori says he's been asking questions about you ... not weird ones just ... you know ..guyish ones ... so he can pretend to be interested in you to begin with ... not that oy're not intersting Becca erm ..."

She was either screwing up JAce's cahnces ... or royalling putting her foot in her own mouth ... maybe both ...

Maeve giggled a bit, and turned to Raoul in a very serious way, "Why, shaving precious years off his life of course ..."

She hugged taren in a friendly way and smiled, "My apologies dearest Taren ... but rather I jolt yo uawakje than a rollercoaster of course ..."

Jac leaned against the porch himself, nodding, "So ... are we going to wait much longer on Tori and the rest?"

Adam stoipped every few feet to kiss her, so it took a considerable longer time to get to the carnival, but eventually they m,ade it to one of the side enterances.

Becca smiled in some amusement. "I get what you're saying. SO he can pretend to be interested in the things I'm interested in. Though, I guess he doesn't realize he's been asking the wrong person," she mused. She and tori weren't exactly friends...

"There you go, make the poor guy look like a jerk," rex gave Ryla serously affronted look on Jace's behalf

Tai chuckled. "That was rather clumsy," he murumured quietly in Ryla's ear but kissed it so she wouldn't feel too bad

"She has a point," Raoul mused

Taran had to agree with that. He looked at Jace and shrugged. "Tori's meeting her friends in the park. Dunno why ya'll are waitin around. No one set a time or anything," he pointed out

Tori teleported to the park and made her way toward the others

Trini snuggled against his arm as they waited in a rather lengthy line. "Wow," she said

Ryla opened her motu hto speak, but clsoed it again, thinking, "yup ... insert foot here ..."

She shrugged, "Oh well .. not my problem ..." she grinned rather rex like and sighed, "Geez Tori ... I have to start setting a meeting time .. .and then an earlier Tori time ... maybe she'll be ontime the n.. .thoug hi doubt it ..."

Maeve rolled hereyes, "Well then, since the day is young, and the walk moderate," she turned to Raoul, "Shall we then?"

Jace laughed a bit, "Well then, if we're not waiting, i'm gonna go on ahead ..."

He began jogging, in front of maeve and Raoul, and waved abck to Taren. He was off to find his princess in yellow ...

maeve rolled ehr eyes, "Yes, you will be sorely missed ..."

She smiled again to Raoul, and offered her arm in a gentlemanly way, grinning.

Adam held her to his chest as they moved only one step closer every fwe minutes. he kissed the top of her head and whispered how he lvoed her gently into her ear.

Becca smirked and went back into her own little world, trying not to think about the strange fact that the prince of a ARussian offshoot country was asking about her


"I heard that," Tori complained from behind Ryla and gave a sniff, as if insulted

Rex grinned. "And she does it again, oh, just not your day is it?" he asked

"Lay off, Mr. Perfect before i break your pretty face," Tai warned with mock menace

Raoul grinned and took her arm. "How kind of of you," he said with a chuckle

Ryla 'eeped' and slid around to the back of Tai, as if very scared, "DOn't let her hurt me Tai ..."

Then she top on her tip toes and stuck her tongue out at the two of them - rex and Tori - fomr behind Tai. She laughed, and hugged her boyfriend, "Thanks for sticking up for me ... my own little body guard from evil tori and rex." she stuck her bose in the air and humphed, before kissing her beau on the lips gently.

Maeve smlied and held onto him, as they walked. It was a beautiful day, with a beautiful man on her arm ... things could not get any better ...

Rex grinned. "O can neutralize Tai, if you need me too," he assured Tori

Tori shook her head. "Oh no, I'll get her when she least expects it," Torui declared evilly

Tai wrapped his arms around Ryla's waist. "You're both lucky I don't have my sword. Neutralize me?" he scoffed. "You couldn't neutralize a paper bag," he declared stoutly

Raoul walked along with her, just enjoying the peace and quiet and her prescence

Ryla giggled, and hugged her boyfriend around the waist, snickering, almost like one of the mob bosses annoying girlfirends, "Yeah ..."

It took a good bit of time, but Jace was glad for once for his large lands and the years he spent running the acres. He stopped about a good twenty feet befor ethe group to catch his breath, and fix himself so he didn't look red faced and sweaty. Soon though, he walked up behind the group, and draped an arm arou nd Tori, "Ah ... finally out of the house I see ... all that time well worth it ... fabulous looking as always ..."

MAeve looked pu to Raoul, "Have to been to many carnivals? I can't imagine ..."

Tori sighed and then choked. "Oh, Jace. Too much way too expensive cologne there, hun," she stepping away ad sneezing a few times

Becca snickered

"Why ar all the girl's turning into guy bashers I swear. The male ego is a very fragile thing," Rex scolded them, wagging a finger as well

Tai chuckled and shook his head.

Raoul shhok his head."No. We occassionally have fesitvals, but its a traditional thing. No rides or games or anything," he answered her

Ryla shook her head, matter-of-factly, "no no Rex, no guy bashers ... just Rex basher," she turned to Tai and smiled, "I happen to like my guy quite a bit thank you very much."

She smiled to Tai, and stuck her tongue out at Rex, "And honestly .. you're ego is made of like ... diamond ... unbreakable ... it's awonder you can hold your head up ..."

Jace touched his hand to his chest, offended, "Why Tori, you cut me short ... I only dab the cologne ..."

HE turned his head to Becca and smiled , nodding to her, "Good day Becca ... you're looking quite lovely today I must say ..."

Maeve nodded, and squeezed his arm, "Well , you should be in for such a treat ... these types of carnivals are so much fun ... they make it exciting and big so that they gatther crowds, since it travels ... so many games ... should be such fun," she talked animatly about the carnvivals, she'd worked at a few when she was younger back in Ireland, and it was the best summers of her childhood.

Rex huffed and rolled his eye and fell over backwards. "You're right. It was too heavey," he agreed

Tori giggled at Rex and shook her head.

Becca looked over at him, "Thank you," she said

Tai was shaking his at his friend. "He seems to be in high spirits today. Or he's putting on a good show. Sometimes I'm not even sure," he said quietly

Raoul smiled down at her her. "I'm sure it will be since you seem to enjoy them so much," he stated honestly

Ryla smiled, "Either way ... he'll be a complete joy to be around ..."

She tugged on his arm and grinned, "Come on .. I wanna get some cottn candy, and some pizza and ... ooh ooh! I wanna play games ... look at the teddy bears ... can you win me one Tai. Can you, can you?"

She pouted softly and batted her lashes at him in a overly done girly way. She obviously was going to use her boyfirend for every advantage ... including the tunnel of love ...

JAce moved clsoer to Becca and smiled, "Not here alone are you? A beautiful woman such as yourself?"

He smiled and held his hands bhind his back in an innocent manner, as he surveyed the carnival.

mave blushed slightly, and smiled, "Well ... I worked at one when I was yougner .. .the food stands ... cotton candy," she smiled at the memory, "I got free rides because of it ... I was so sick at the end of every day ... but ti was worht it," she smirked, "A tip ... lots of processed foods and sugars do not mix with rides that spin quite fast ..."
