Tornadoes are violently spinning columns of air wich are connected with a cululonimbus cloud base and the ground. Tornadoes are most commonly found east of the rocky mountains in cenral United States. tornados can leave damage trails a few miles long. The largest Tornado ever recorded was 2 miles in diameter.That is HUGE! Most tornadoes have winds of 110 mph some tornadoes can have winds of more than 300 mph Tornadoes have been observed on every continent except Antarctica. More tornadoes occur in the U.S. than anywhere else in the world.
