DIAGNOSTIC & TROUBLESHOOTING

WHY DOES MY CAR NEED THIS AND HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

Your vehicle has a lot of parts and electrical wiring, fuses, connections, switches etc to make it run. There may be times when you hear a noise, feel something different about the way your car drives, maybe a check engine light or a problem that seems to come and go without warning. Maybe sometimes your cars starts, but hours later it won't. What causes this? That is where diagnostics come into the picture. Testing of different areas of your vehicle, checking and tracing wiring issues, running tests etc are what is necessary to properly diagnose your car's problem. Sometimes the problem can be determined quickly, sometimes it can take a lot more time to come to a conclusion depending on testing results. Intermittant problems that come and go are the most difficult to diagnose because the car doesn't have the problem 100% of the time and in order to properly diagnose the problem, it needs to occur when it is being tested/inspected. Time frames to diagnose can not be given, if the car doesn't "act up", we can't fix what isn't a problem so the biggest delay is waiting on the car to show it's symptoms while in the shop. We have the most up-to-date scanners and testing equipment to properly evaluate and diagnose most problems, so remember, sometimes, it's up to your car to speed up the repair process.

FLASH Automotive Repair Inc. will always do the best we can to get you back on the road as quickly as possible.
