Okay, lets get one thing straight.. im only feeling lazy cuz i just got out of bed. hahaha.
and come on, its nine am.
Wowzers. Its three days till i leave for england... *has a spaz attack* aaaahhhh. It really didnt feel like it was so close until yesterday.. then i remembered how much crap i still had to do... AAAAH. jeez louise. how did it sneak up on me this time?!
yeesh.
oh yes now i remember what i was going to write about in here.. i guess it will have to do as an interim journal since my usual one is nowhere to be found! *tear* thats sad.
anyways, on friday i decided to go out to whyte avenue and west edmonton mall to retrieve a few things i needed to. i walked to the bus stop and there witnessed a hilarious sight. some teenage girl having her big 26 of smirnoff vodka poured out right in front of her by ets security. haha yes! so i was a little weirded out by the amount of teenagers milling about at that time of the day. 1pm on a friday. shouldnt they be in school? unless of course schools swapped thursday and friday days..so the kids got out early on friday for spring break (which, thank you jesus i will not be here for). anyways so i hopped on the six to the university and got off and walked down the road to where whyte ave starts. it was about a 30-40 minute walk altogether to get to 104th street, where i turned right to go south towards scona school, which was the area the art store was in that i was going to. dad got me some art gift certificates for christmas.. and i still hadnt used them. i decided i wanted to take a sketchbook on the plane with me, although i hope im seated alone if i decide to draw. im weird that way. i cant have people watching me. if i do then its totally off putting, as william would say, and i cant continue. especially if they remark on it. aaghh!
so i got a sweet 100 page sketchbook, a nice size one, not too big and not too small. and i got some art pens for finelining and such, and then a sweet pack of proper brush art pens.. mm theyre wicked. 18.75 tho, yeesh! but at least i had $40 in certificates.. woo :) so i ended up spending exactly like 39.75. rock on erin!
so after i was done there i walked back to whyte ave and went to tim hortons. i needed change for the bus again, so i bought a medium cafe mocha. mm i sat and drank it then walked across the street and up the road to get the 4 to WEM. i didnt have to wait exceedingly long for it. so i got on that bus, which was a little crowded and headed for the mall. when i got there i went straight to the area the calforex currency exchange is in, which is upstairs by the palace casino. i was going to check my bank balance, and take money out, but there was such a line for the atm i decided meh screw it and just took my chances. so i asked the lady for two hundred pounds in travellers cheques and 100 in cash. 300 should do me nicely for awhile when im there. at least three of the five weeks i should think. we're not doing a huge amount of stuff that costs money this time.
so then after i did that, it totalled nearly 650 dollars for 300 pounds, i went to the supply seargent. i wanted an army jacket to put iron maiden patches on.. and i found one! FOR TEN BUCKS! sweet ass.
So then i did check my account and i still had well over three hundred bucks in it. sweet. rock on.
then i just meandered around the mall for an hour or two and timed it perfectly to get to capilano mall to meet mom after work. i rule dont i? haha.
anyways so that was my exciting double destination adventure. i was so pooped after that i came home and fell asleep. ZZzzzZZZzzzZZz
in any event. time to draw.
