Where I've Been

I was born and raised in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. I lived there until I graduated from Hazleton Area High School in 1998. After high school, I went to East Stroudsburg University, where I spent the next 4-5 years of my life. I received my B.S. in Health & Physical Education and this is how I ended up at my present location. I kind of ended up teaching in Wallenpaupack by accident. I guess I could say I was in the right place at the right time, and I couldn't be happier.

My Life as an Educator

As a teacher, I feel that I am very easy to get along with. I have an excellent rapport with the students. I am currently in my 3rd year of teaching and my favorite subject to teach is Physical Education. One unit I've recently completed that was fun and satisfying was the Weight Training Unit. I personally enjoy working out and just like giving kids the background and foundation for weight training properly. I like when students take a real interest to it and then you see them a few years later still involved. One goal of this particular unit is to get students to incorporate some form of weigh training into their daily routine now and for the rest of their lives.

When I'm Not Working...

I spend most of my time after school either coaching and/or working out. I coach wrestling during the winter season and baseball during the spring. After practice, I try to get a workout in. In the summer, I work a few days with one of my buddies from college. I also coach a teener league team in the summer as well as play slow pitch softball during the week and hardball on the weekends. That keeps me pretty busy for the summer. When I'm not doing any of the above, I like to relax by watching movies or hanging out with my friends.

The fall is my time to relax. I have no coaching responsibilities, so my weekends are free. I usually go to State College when Penn State has a home game. I recently got season tickets, so I try to attend every home game. I also got to go to the Orange Bowl in January. That a was an awesome experience!
