Wheat Field with Crows

Wheat Field with Crows is one of Vincent van Gogh's most powerful and fiercely debated paintings. There are many interpretations of this piece and they are more varied than any others of Vincent's entire collection. Some argue that this was Vincent's last painting and, in fact, his "suicide note" signed to the canvas. Others claim that this was not his final piece and put a more positive spin on the painting. Yet, still others look further into the piece and come up with an entirely new subliminal language. Afterall, artistic analysis is, just like art, in the eye of the beholder. Regardless of what you think may have been the reasoning behind this painting, it still does not take away from its beauty or power.
