To the man inside the shadow:
I knew you in my past
I knew you in my dreams
My eyes see the shadow that you now cast
My mind perceives your silent haunting screams
You are hidden, but not forgotten
Life in shadow, will become your legacy
Should my heart become downtrodden
You are the man I loved in secrecy
To the man inside the shadow
I know who you really are, so very well
Take me with you, on the 'morrow
If in the light, you cannot dwell
For, in the shadow with you, I'd rather be
Than spend another day in the light without you, my Dear
I know the man inside the shadow will, one day, come for me
Because you are the man I have always loved without fear
