Two people, both shy of heart
Drawn to each other, as a moth to a flame
Neither knowing just how to start
What is inside them, neither are to blame
He wants to hold her and touch her hair
She wants to embrace him for a sweet kiss
Both desire to say how much they care
Both eager to share, with each other, that wonderful bliss
Fear, insecurity and hurt of a past wrong
Keeping them apart and alone
From a love that they instinctively know, will be strong
A love that they both yearn for, yet are afraid to own
It's time now, to put all negative thoughts out of our mind
And embrace someone new
Take the chance and love once more, and not be blind
If I am to love again, I choose you
