Like a bright shining star
Falling in the night's darkened skies
You came into my life, bearing a scar
Open your heart to me, leave behind, your disguise
I shed all pretense, and bare myself, every part
From you, I hide nothing, no need to be a sleuth
Through my words, you will see my heart
In my eyes, you will see my truth
Every emotion I choose to reveal
Is as deep as the oceans combined
Full of passion, I write so as not to conceal
The moment, as experienced in my own mind
Baring my soul to you, is not in vain
Mere words to convey feelings, nothing is missed
My words of anger, love, sorrow and pain
Forever here, to cry out and exist
My love for you, burns hot as coal
Like a wild dove, my words fly free
Hoping to find a place in your heart and soul
Filling it with all the love you seek, come to me
Let me take you into my arms
Comfort you in your times of sorrow
Keeping you safe from all harms
Loving you till the morrow
When daylight comes again
Take inside your heart, what you will
Sharing love with a friend, is no sin
My love for you will be there still
Dear sweet man, come to me
Should love's flame be ignited
A true blessing that would surely be
You and I, as one, by love united
