Albertosaurus= "Alberta Lizard"

The Albertosaurus measures about 7 m to 8.5 m (Albertosaurus was only bout half the size of its closest cousin, Tyrannosaurus) and weighs 1.8 tonnes to 2.5 tonnes. It was usually found in the area of Alberta, Alaska, Montana, Wyoming, Alabama, and Georgia. The lower jaw had 14-16 teeth; the upper jaw had 17-19 teeth.

An x-ray of a fossil indicated that the ribs near the shoulder bone were cracked, yet healed. The Allosaurus was able of recovering after many severe forwards tumbles that probably happened while it was running.
