The night of Vengeance, the cameras move quickly backstage as if trying to catch someone before they leave for the night. They suddenly burst into Sting's locker room and see him packing away his gear, his new Intercontinental Title sitting neatly on a chair. Sting looks up, shakes his head slightly and begins packing up again. Suddenly, Jonathan Coachman, Everybodys Favorite Interviewer, runs in front of the camera and over to the Painted One. Coach: Sting! We've all been wondering, what is going through your mind right now?! First you lost the US Title Match and then went on to win- Sting stops packing, turns to the Coach and interrupts him Sting: Whoa, whoa, whoa Coach. I didn't lose. Look at the replay will you? The camera and titantron shows Sting, Jeff Hardy and Mark Jindrak in the ring, all three men don't even look winded after eliminating the other competitors. Sting looks at the two, then it seems he comes to a moment of insight. He throws his hands down and you can see him mouth the words 'F*** this'. He turns around, steps on the ring apron and challenges both men to hit him. Jindrak and Hardy look at each other, then both run towards Sting, but before they hit him Sting turns and jumps down. The men hit the ropes and coming off Jindrak nails Jeff with a bulldog. The camera then focuses on Sting walking away after eliminating himself. Coach: But why did you eliminate yourself? Sting: I got to talking to Slick Ric about the Intercontinental Title and how if I beat Jericho during a non-title match I could beat him any other time. I guess I just proved it last night. Coach: So, you knew in advance you'd be the masked assailant in the match against him during Vengeance? Sting: Didn't I just say that? Coach: Anyway, Sting, how do you feel about being the new Intercontinental Champion? Sting reaches over and picks up the belt holds it in front of the camera for everyone to see Sting: What? You mean this thing? Coach: Yes Sting turns slightly and hurls it back against a row of lockers, the Coach flinches Sting:
