I decided to attempt this for two basic reasons (1) to see if I could actually acomplish it and (2) I saw it as a way to create something to me that was meaningful and to in some way pay tribute to my father, Brevard County Sheriff Deputy Sergeant Raymond E. Warner, who was killed in the Line of Duty on June 13, 1996.
As I myself am a Sergeant with the Florida Department of Corrections, I felt the sense of loss and emptiness that comes with losing a fellow Officer and as a daughter, I had to try and cope and continue on with a huge hole in my life and the heartache that has followed. I only hope that in some small way I have indeed honored his memory and give tribute to all who daily put their lives on the line selflessly for us.
This has been a very exciting and somtimes very difficult and humbling experience for me, and it has taught me how to work through the pain and grief. I hope you enjoy this site as much as I have in creating it.
