My Snake Pages

Just over a year ago I was pretty scared of snakes because I did not understand them and everything I heard was that they were viscous reptiles. When I was eight years old I was walking barefooted in the backyard not paying attention and all of a sudden I felt something cold slide underneath my foot. I looked down and it was about a 5 foot solid black snake. I noticed while I started a frantic run to the house. I had never been so scared before in my life. When my mother saw me she asked if I had just seen a ghost.

Even after that tramatic event, whenever I went into a pet store the first think I would look at where the snakes and reptiles. I was always fascinated by them. The way they moved on land and water, the way they flicked there tongue and lack of hearing, the attitude I seen other people take towards these serpents. I was fascinated by them but never thought I would actually hold one in my hands, never the less own four snakes of my own now.

It first started when my girlfriend bought me an adult BALL PYTHON at Christmas for 2001. When I first saw it I took a step back as once again I was mystified but also somewhat scared. We had him for a while but I was uncomfortable with his size of 4 foot or more for my first snake. I opted to give him to a close friend and get a BALL PYTHON as a juvenile so by the time it got that big I would be comfortable with it. Ever since I got my first JUVENILE BALL I was hooked.
