Full Name: George
Coleman Eads III George grew up in Belton, Texas where his father, Arthur Eads was a district attorney and his mother, Vivian is a junior high school principal. George's parents are both divorced and have since remarried. George's stepfather is a surgeon. Despite the razzing of his football teammates George did spend part of his time at Belton High School performing in school plays. George admits that even as an avid football player his favorite class was Art. He enjoys drawing, painting and working in clay. After high school he went on
to gain a degree in Business from Texas Tech University. But after graduating
in 1990 he proved a washout as a copy machine salesman. "I couldn't
seal the deal," he says. He quit in 1992. After that he went on to
attend the Texas’ KD Studio Acting Conservatory. George attended
the year and a half associate program at the Conservatory on the advice
of a high school friend who had attended earlier. George made his big break when he won the part of Travis Peterson on Aaron Spellings soap, Savannah. Even though George's character was killed off in the pilot episode since he tested so well with the viewers he was asked to return to the series and take a slight different role; as his original characters twin, Nick Correlli. Right after that in fact George won his famous role in ER where he was placed between the fans favorite couple of George Clooney and Julianna Margulies. A role that George had originally turned down as the sheets sent to his agent showed a small role for the amount of time he would need to put into it. At the same time George was suffering from home problems, a house fire had destroyed all of his personal belongings, with the exception of his golf clubs. However the writers at ER fleshed out the role even more and George went to try out. Originally the casting agents had declined to see any soap actors, however George's agent was convincing and they agreed to see him. In the end he put on a wonderful performance and was flown to Chicago with Julianna to do extra scenes. George was actually the last member of the CSI team to be cast. He gained the role of Nick Stokes after only one meeting with William Petersen. However he did audition twice for the role itself. "He's naturally over-eager, 'specially if they have to find a solution to a complicated problem,'' says Eads of Nick. "Maybe that's one of his faults. But one of his strengths is that he does the job because it's fun. Although he has to deal with some pretty heinous crimes, he tries to hide his emotions and have fun, especially in the lab. I think that Nick thinks that Grissom, half of the time, is out of his mind with some of the methods he uses. Grissom is a teacher, teaching Nick to slow down, look at the particulars, be more analytical.'' A sign in his dressing room says Beat Goliath, which he explains is about triumphing against the daunting odds in television. "The whole situation seems like David and Goliath: Goliath is the monster that is the industry. It's so hard to get a show on air. They shoot so many pilots, and the odds of it going are low, which means the odds of doing well are even lower.'' George admits that if he wasn't an actor he would love to have a job in the comic book field. "I was a comic book freak as a kid." Or perhaps a set designer? "Something fun that you could make a living at and enjoy," he says. George currently lives in Hollywood
where he shares a cottage-style two story home with his Labrador Maverick.
And in what little spare time he has he loves playing with Maverick and
even brings him to the set with him everyday. He also loves to mountain
bike as well take part in some very aggressive street biking. He enjoys
playing basketball, pick up hoops and stuff like that. He loves to draw,
barbecue (George's favorite food? Steak with A-1 of course!), surf and
have friends over. Copied from http://www.jag.cx/Eads/Biography.shtml
