Ok this the first of hopefully many post, as well as the result of insomnia and a caffeine high meshed together. I'm Crystal, one of the officers of BARDS and it site is for everyone to keep updated on meeting dates, get togethers, coffee houses, and such, as well as establishing a place where you guys can post you work for critism and/or to be put into our yearly publication. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to email any of the officers, and stop us in the halls of school. Other than that, we're here to hae fun and grow as writers at the same time. Oh wait, nearly forgot about the censorship stuff. This is your headups, the material, works, w/e, posted on this site doesn't have to censored so you as a the person who controls your bodily functions, hold in your hand the power to hit the x in the top right hand corner if you do not want to be exposure to "questionable content" or "hardcore beliefs of others" or even *gasp* "foul language". Knowing the various members, you will undoubtedly be offended by one or more pieces of work, if you don't like you have a couple of options. 1)never return to this site. 2)CONSTRUCTIVELY critize the author (give them pointers on how they can improve their work). or 3)Just skip pieces by the author, but don't you ever, EVER (we are so hard-core against ppl who do this) post a comment yelling at the author about how stupid they are, how bad their writing is, or anything that has nothing to do with that piece of work. Do not verbally attack someone for any reason whatsoever. In other words leave what happened out of BARDS, off BARDS's chat boards, in attempts to piss ppl off. Those in violation of these guidelines, established by the great and powerful officers, will be subject to the wrath of those officers previously mentioned. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
