FILM SCRIPT 2#

(note: this is the one I am seriously considering moreso than script 1... simply because I think this one works better - let me know what you think)

FADE TO:

EXT: PARK - DAY

JOSHUA sits on a bench in a park dressed in a suit. He looks emotionless. In his hand is a letter. He drops the letter. Camera ZOOMS IN to his eye.

ZOOM OUT of eye. The park has changed to a very surrealistic looking set. Three people stand, dressed in black behind Joshua, their eyes are blindfolded. A fourth figure appears collapses and disappears quickly, then returns and is standing directly behind JOSHUA with a photo frame in her hand. The photo is of PEOPLE SITTING IN A ROOM. ZOOM INTO PHOTO

INT: LIVING ROOM (The Photo)

A group of friends sit in the living room. They all appear solemn and are dressed in Funeral attire. DAVID and CRISTINA sit together, hand in hand, with CRISTINA holding a photo. JOSHUA sits alone, head in his hands. JULIA comes up to JOSHUA and places her hand on his shoulder. Other friends are dispersed around the room. A veiled woman appears in front of where CRISTINA and DAVID are sitting on the couch and sits on the table in front of them... FOCUS ON: A tear drop falling from the woman's eye, it crystalises. She touches the photo that CRISTINA is holding... ZOOM INTO PHOTO

EXT: GRAVE - DUSK (The Photo)

JOSHUA kneels at a freshly made grave. FOCUS ON his distraught face.

CUT TO: Hands digging at the dirt frantically.
CUT TO: A hand protruding from the ground.
CUT TO: Mid-Long Shot as three people stand behind JOSHUA, blind-folded as JOSHUA kisses the hand. FOCUS ON: Middle figure who is holding a picture frame which is a photo of KARA looking towards the camera through a window.

EXT: OUTSIDE WINDOW - DUSK

Water reverses up the window as KARA looks out - Her arms embracing herself. A shadowy figure appears behind her.

CUT TO:

INT: BATHROOM

KARA struggling beneath the water interspersed with surreal images of water reversal and time/motion effects.

CUT TO:

INT: TUNNEL

Quick cuts of a veiled woman coming towards camera - revealing KARA's face at the end.

CUT TO:

INT: ROOM

KARA stands against a wall... a rope hands from her neck. Her eyes are blind folded and she is bound at the hands. A shadowy figure walks across the room.

CUT TO:

INT: DARK ROOM

KARA opens her eyes

CUT TO:

INT: ROOM

KARA's eyes begin to bleed beneath the blind fold... only the blood is colored in this shot...everything else is black and white. Vines begin to creep up behind her.

CUT TO:

INT: LIVING ROOM

All the people in the room are now blind-folded except for JOSHUA ... He gazes upwards - CAMERA ZOOMS IN

CUT TO:

EXT: WINDOW

The shadowy figure behind KARA emerges - revealing JOSHUA as he grabs KARA and pulls her into the darkness behind him.

CUT TO:

INT: BATHROOM

Hands are now about KARA's throat - CAMERA ZOOMS OUT to reveal JOSHUA's hands.

CUT TO:

Reversal of the GRAVE scenes.

CUT TO:

EXT: PARK

The thre figures behind JOSHUA quickly, one after the other, perform the 'see no evil', 'hear no evil' , 'speak no evil' poses. The veiled woman (KARA) pulls out a blindfold and wraps it around JOSHUA's eyes.

CUT TO:

CAMERA ZOOMS out of JOSHUA's eye - the figures are gone. CAMERA pans down to the letter...(still have to work out whats on it)

FADE TO BLACK
