Goodbye

Back Home Up Next

                                                   A couple of days ago,

I went to a funeral,

It was a funeral for my grandpa.

I’ll miss him, I will

As I eat my daily meal.

I’ll think of how he took so long,

And how he had a little song,

It was the chew-chew song.

There are so many memories

Of my grandpa,

Everyone loved him,

And everyone saw,

How much of a kind man he was.

He had great gardens,

He was a gardener,

But he shared what he grew,

He gave it to all.

He was a kind Christian man,

He loved his Lord Jesus.

He’s a man to respect,

And man to look up at.

When his days grew shorter,

And he’d sleep all day long,

He didn’t read much anymore,

And he didn’t do much outside,

His days we’re getting over…

No more pain, and no more sorrow

No more Grandpa for a while
