Head's Story...

During his school years, Brian became friends with a guy called James Schaffer , and together they would host some friendly guitar competition with one another. Going back and forth between each other's houses to jam.

At the age of 17 Brian left home and started working two jobs. During the day Brian was employed as a furniture deliverer, and by night he would deliver pizzas (on his bike).

Later working in the L.A Recording Workshop where he was to learn sound engineering.

Brian joined Ragtime, formed before L.A.P.D. which cited such musicians as Fieldy and ex-L.A.P.D. front man Richard Moral. After Ragtime's split Feildy and Moral would later form L.A.P.D. with Schaffer. Here Brian would hang out and 'drink all our beer', Munky says. Before a L.A.P.D. tour, the band decided they required the services of another guitarist... welcome Brian Welch,

Head is the member of who does backing vocals on various tracks. There is one song, in particular, that Head sings all of (a birthday present from the band). He's the one who gets his "Tone-Loc on" for the cover of War's "Lowrider."
